EVERYTHING SOUNDS BETTER ON VINYL

What a dream day...

To just get lost in rows and rows of vinyl while listening to music play in the background. It blows my mind the amount of music that's out there! As I write this I'm coming up with a master plan to eventually have enough vinyl so I can play a new record each day of the year. YUP! 365 days of good old vinyl playing while grooving (Vinyl donations are accepted haha)

Might I say I felt so bad ass with my outfit. It seemed like the perfect little get up for a date with vinyls. I'm pretty sure the vinyls appreciated my fashion sense as well. I took 3 home with me. I didn't even have to go through 1st, 2nd and 3rd base. Went straight for the Home Run ;) Good ol' Aerosmith, Janet Jackson and the soundtrack to Top Gun (It was a good night...)

Glass House Records in Downtown Pomona was the shop I went to. Great atmosphere, decent prices and good places to eat and drink around. That place never disappoints!

Until next time!

You could spend hours in there...

I love bralettes!
If you don't know what a bralette is it's just like a bra, but no wires, more breathable and comes in all sorts of fabrications and colors. They are amazing! I love all the fun and sexy styles they have as far as lace, abstract lines going across the breasts, sexy frill and all the funky colors. They are a sexy addition to any outfit.
I wore my black lace bralette under this white tank because the armholes are over sized and at times you can catch a glimpse of it ;)
Ooh La La

These jeans are my most favorite jeans ever... They are a loose distressed Boyfriend Denim fit and they give me so much extra space to do activities!
(If you know what movie I partially pulled this quote from, then we just became best friends!)

If you truly know me you would know that I've never been a fan of tight clothes on my body. I love wearing loose clothing whether it's denim, tops or dresses. I just love the fact of not having to worry about anything showing or being too tight or laying the wrong way. I can easily make anything over sized just as cute as something that's skin tight.

This backpack always comes in handy. It holds a ton, super comfy on my back and matches with everything. Everyone needs to own a backpack purse. Trust me, it's a necessity in your closet.

How awesome is the graphic on my tank... "Young and Hungry"
This tank is a size medium and I am an extra small or small but it has the perfect bagginess to it. I was able to dress it up with a lacy bralette, layered necklaces and a simple tuck into my denim.

This olive green over sized cardigan was only three spanking dollars! I repeat three dollars...
I bought it from the Salvation Army down the street from me. They have different colored tags on all the items there and each day they have a special where it's 50% off a certain color. Well it happened to be 50% off all yellow tags, which is what this beauty had :) Great condition, super comfy and the color is fabulous!

These boots! How neat are these bad boys!?
I found them in the clearance section at Target for $12! At first I was iffy about there not being a back to them, but they seemed so unique and inexpensive why the hell not!
They were so comfy throughout the day :)
Always check Targets clearance section. It's a hit or miss, but when you do find something it's well worth it.

DEAD END.

Man O man time flies!
Where the hell did 2016 go? I don't even know where the past couple months went... It felt like Halloween and Thanksgiving was all in one day. Haha!

You really have to live each day to the fullest to get the most out of the year because I swear it was just January. Now it's Hello 2017! :)

Well one thing I can't complain about is this Cali weather! The best weather in town! (most of the time haha) Makes waking up to get dressed easier especially with all this crazy holiday shopping. Just throw on a tank with some pants/skirt and tie a long sleeve around the waist just in case it gets chilly. Spice it up with some funky lipstick and jewelry and you're set to take on the holidays in style!

Just please don't be that person holiday shopping in pajama bottoms. And if you are then good for you, but don't read my blog...(I'm typing that in the nicest way I can haha)

Happy Holidays! :)

Pops of pink and a shirt tied around the waist. It's the little details that create style. A simple skirt from Kmart became the main piece to this outfit then it was built from there.

I'm obsessed with tying things around my waist. Such a 90's trend and it may not be for everyone, but don't knock something you haven't tried. It's a cute and grungy addition to any outfit.

What happened in 1986?
-Top Gun was the highest grossing film of the year
-Halley's Comet makes an appearance
-Chernobyl nuclear disaster
-Mike Tyson becomes youngest Heavyweight Champion in history
-Oprah Winfrey Show debuts nationally
-Celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day for the first time

Just a bit of history for you folks.

I just had my last hair session to go lighter. HELLO BLONDE!

And the award goes to my hair stylist, Claudia Santacruz!
She has done an amazing job from the first day I met her to now. She just moved to a new location in downtown Whittier and I highly suggest you folks book an appointment, like now! :)

Also look her up on Yelp! :)

These shoes though! How funky are these bad boys? A few weeks back Forever 21 was having a buy one get one free on their clearance and these beauties were part of it. Simply chic...
Pro: I feel so futuristic wearing them
Con: The bottom of them are so slippery I almost ate shit...

Quick Fix! Scuff the soles yourself! Walk around on rough surfaces such as concrete, gravel and rocks. Wearing your soles down can improve your traction, especially with new shoes. Or just purchase sole grippers from your local Target/Walmart and stick them on the bottom. Wham Bam Shazam! Your first world problem is solved...

This little dead end road is such a wasteland filled with beauty. Its crazy how spots like these can have so much character yet be a reminder of how we need to become more aware of our planet. Trash, trash and more trash...

The view over the city is spectacular though. This is where we hang at night on Fourth of July for fireworks. Prime location with no idiots, close to home and you can sip on a tasty drink :)

I bought this black tank at Urban Outfitters on clearance for $4.99. It has a waffle type texture to it and it hooks all the way down. It has such character to it although it's so basic. At first I disliked it, but as I tried it on and did the whole mirror twirl in the fitting rooms it grew on me.

Obviously I'm not very busty up top haha so that was another pro to this tank because it gives the illusion that I actually have a little something something up top ;) *Wink Wink*

Pink is such a hard lipstick color to shop for! I'm not even sure if I'm digging this shade of pink, but I wanted to try it out. I bought this from NYX and it's their Velvet Matte Lipstick called Miami Nights. I love how smooth it went on for it being an actual lipstick instead of a wand to apply on. It stayed on and even stained my lips after taking it off. Now that's a true stain.

SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER

Tis the season to get hitched...

October is such a perfect month to attend a wedding. Weather is exceptional! Not too hot, but not too cold. I'm NOT obsessed with October because of all the pumpkin spice rage, I love it because you're no longer sweating balls in the heat or your not freezing you're nipples off in the cold. And as always to tie fashion in, you can literally wear whatever the hell you want and not have to worry about weather conditions.

A huge congrats to my cousin on her marriage! Both the bride and groom looked stunning! Everything was so perfect from the romantic venue to the delicious In-N-Out truck and last but not least getting boogie to some good ole fashion songs. Lets take a moment to realize I said they had an In-N-Out truck at the wedding. I must say it was a way better option than checking off chicken, steak or fish on the RSVP card (besides almost throwing it up after dropping it like it's hot on the dance floor Haha!)

My dress, shoes and hair...
Totally made me travel back to the 70's to boogie the night away with John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever. If you don't know the movie Saturday Night Fever, then don't even bother scrolling through my pictures. Do me a favor and Google it first...

Cheers to weddings, alcohol and good music!

♥Alyssa Rose

Meet my hot date! She has a funky soul and makes every second a good time! Check her Instagram out at Tiffany_Haslacker
You won't be disappointed ;)
At first I was going to wear red lipstick, but then I got a second opinion and I toned it down with a mauve color. Ladies, it's always nice to get a second opinion even if it's for something small. Sometimes seeing it from a different view helps. This lipstick is from COLOURPOP and it's their ultra matte lip stain in Tulle. It's a perfect shade to complete any outfit!

Totally a goofy picture, but this is when we got the alter all to ourselves. Ummm... mini photo shoot time!

Not entirely sure what we were doing but we may have been practicing 1 of 2 things. Our surprised looks when we are eventually proposed to or a terrified look from seeing one of those damn clowns that seem to be popping out everywhere. Either scenario works for me Haha!

Hers may be better though! Haha

This dress though... It fell into my hands as I was wasting time before an eye appointment. I had tried a few dresses on, but no luck. Then as I was walking out it called out to me. I tried it on and the next thing I remember was swiping my card Haha!

Everything about this dress made me feel FABULOUS! From the short sexy length to the off the shoulders and last but not least the oversize sleeves.

Wedding tip ladies: Stash a flask in your clutch! no matter the size of your purse, they have that size flask. I was able to fit a good size one in my small gold clutch and still able to carry all my necessities. Men aren't the only ones allowed to carry one... You never know what they are serving at the wedding, so be prepared with your own yummy goodness. Sip, sip! ;)

Let's also take a moment of silence for my groovy shoes... LOVE! I got these bad boys from JUSTFAB as my first purchase for $15! They always have such great deals! It's total shoe porn.

I must say my cousins tie was more on point than my entire outfit that night. Correction, overall he in general was more on point than me Haha! From his clean cut hair style to his Iron Man cuff links and of course that tie! What a tie! It's called an Eldredge knot. I watched a YouTube video on how to tie it and it seems easily doable even though it looks so intricate. Tou che cousin, tou che :) You looked handsome!

THESE BOOTS ARE MADE FOR WALKIN'

Hello hello,

I must say I had so much fun doing this photo shoot! First of all location was prime with all the trees, rocks and empty streets to walk on. Secondly this dress! I saw it at Forever 21, tried it on then left it on the rack. Guess what I did the next day just like any woman would after being haunted by a piece of clothing... I bought it for a whopping $10! It was clearance yo!

It lays and sways perfectly and better yet I was able to Free the Nipple Haha! I'm always down for no bra action when the clothing allows. Obviously for some it may not be as comfortable so if you have a dress this free flowing wear a cute lace bralette with it. It'll add more sexiness and you won't feel so out there.

I can't wait to wear this beauty for a bar hopping night. When it gets a little chilly I'll add a leather jacket to complete the look and to feel more bad ass. There's something so daring about wearing a sexy little dress then adding a leather jacket to it. Try it! You won't be disappointed! Now is the time to grab one since fall is here. I'm pretty sure by now most stores are selling them.

Well until then don't do anything I wouldn't do ;)

♥ Alyssa Rose

The back of this dress is epic! This is my most favorite part of the dress. Having your back bare can feel so sexy especially with such dainty strands.

Gotta give some props to my photographer. My dad :) He always has great suggestions for poses and locations. Also he is so go with the flow and patient (especially with how crazy I am hence my blog title Crazy Yet Beautiful Haha)

Very simple makeup this day. It was extremely hot so I just went for some blush, mascara, highlighting eye shadow and some red lips. Badabing badaboom! Classic.

It has just the perfect little sway to it, so when I move I won't have any nip slips Haha!

These boots are made for walking... So so so comfy! I always feel so bad ass when wearing them. I also wore them to a bar in a past post FIELD OF DAISIES. Check it out to see how I styled them there!

Not trying to toot my own horn, but I freakin love my hair!!! Haha! My hair stylist has done such a good job at maintaining the color, length and health of my curls. It's definitely a process and a life style being a curly girl, but I'll never turn back. Check out her website Love Your Hair by Claudia she does fabulous cuts and color!
I could wear this necklace everyday. It's so versatile and funks up any outfit!

It's all about the details baby... You can never have too much jewelry on.

PRETTY KITTY

Hey all!

So I was totally feeling a vintage/retro vibe while wearing this outfit. I don't know if it was the shorts, shoes or sunglasses but I felt like I was in another decade. This outfit was very comfy and casual for a trip to Burbank to visit Morphe.

If you have never heard of Morphe or never been there I suggest you look it up if you like makeup. Here's the link to Morphe. It's like a toy store but with makeup. Haha! Seriously, you won't come out with empty hands. It's more like you will come out with a big red bag and a hole in your your bank account. Well worth the drive, time and color/glitter swatches on your hand. I had a blast!

There are lots of little cute boutiques, shops and restaurants to stroll through after, so you can make it a whole day thing in Burbank. I bought a few little trinkets from the boutiques like my sunglasses, a cute Hawaiian shirt, and some $5 stud earrings. They had a great thrift store to browse through, which is where I scored the Hawaiian shirt for $2. Super cute somewhat cropped button down shirt with pink Hawaiian flowers on it. Can't wait to wear it out and show you guys!

Well that's all I have for you now! I'll try to snap pictures of all the product I got from Morphe so you can see how great the makeup is :)

Oh! Just a heads up for all you pinners on Pinterest! I put a link on my photos so you can pin and save them to your boards. If you're on a desktop all you have to do is hover over the picture with your mouse and the Pin symbol will pop up. If you're on a Mobile device all you have to do is click the arrow in the corner of the image and it will then let you pin the picture. Wham Bam Shazam! Inspiration for later!

The best nude lipstick to wear with any outfit! I ordered it from  Colourpop (link) and the name is Beeper. I love Colourpop ultra matte lips stains. Such a great swipe on and go and it stays on throughout the day which is always a plus ;)

It was such a nice day to wear shorts, especially with summer coming to an end. Couldn't resist taking advantage of the weather.

I got these glasses while in Burbank from this little boutique called Audrey K. The cat eye frames and pink color caught my eye as I was walking through. I fell in love! They have a neutral gray leopard print on the sides that you can't see.

I think that tying a knot on any shirt can complete and spice up any outfit. A nice white crisp tee with a knot is key to match with any print pants or shorts. You can either go with a knot or cut a slit at the bottom and tie together for more of a bow effect. I just went for a knot with this outfit.

Cats, cats and more cats! My shorts have cats! This is the best thrift store buy I have had in a while. Who can really say they have shorts with cats on them? I love all the colors and how well it all blends in together. Guess how much I paid... I bought them for a whopping $1.46! yup! a dollar and some change folks. They are H&M brand and they even have pockets, which is always a dream for girls. I bought them at this Thrift store in Baldwin Park called Disabled Veterans Charities. It's a pretty good size store but you definitely have to search to find some good pieces.

Shine bright like a diamond! Haha, these cute silver flats can definitely shine in the sun. I got these bad boys sometime last year and have only worn them a few times. The back of the shoe tears up my heel but over time I can feel them start to loosen up. Silver is such a great pop to any style whether it's basic or funky.
